My goal (cleverly referred to as "The Goal" in the sidebar) is to continue writing and publishing until I can leave my day job and become a Real Writer. As of summer 2011, I was earning about one percent of what I would need to do that. I calculate the percentage by averaging the last three months' earnings, then comparing to my target income.
I'd like to be able to begin writing full-time by the fall of 2017. I am, however, a realist. I know that I may never make it to 100%, but it should be an interesting journey!
